The Whittemore Public Library is seeking an individual to serve as a part-time (18-26 hrs weekly) "Library Director" to manage the day-to-day operation of the facility. The ideal candidate is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and coordinating all activities of the Library, with the aide of the Assistant Director and Library Clerk. This person also directs library services including the formation and implementation of policies, long-range goals and objectives; attends Board of Trustee meetings, reports library stastics, and helps draft/implement operational policies; prepares and submits annual budgets and reports, manages fund allocations, track financial reports; and ensures compliance with local and state laws. Acts as the primary public representative for the Whittemore Public Library.
An essential, important requirement of this job is possessing excellent telephone skills and working daily with the public (and sometimes difficult people). Position open until filled. Salary dependent upon experience.
